Can't believe this happened again!
Ugh, I feel like banging my head against the wall. I have bounced checks AGAIN!!! ::sigh::
This unemployment thing is really starting to get old... At least I am starting to sell items on Ebay again, which will help. We are always out of money by the time that check gets here.
Because of the holiday on Mon., DH's unemployment check is delayed. But what is crazy, is that I opened a savings account with $100 to give us that "cushion" as overdraft protection. But because we're falling slightly behind every month, I already pulled that money to cover gas and groceries. And what is crazy is that I got a fat rebate check in the mail, and was heading out of town on Thurs. Our bank is about 45 minutes away (we live very rurally), so was intending to stop on the way down.
But I was running way late, and DH didn't help matters. So I got there right after the bank closed. I put it in the ATM anyway, but had an unexpected transaction hit, that made my other 2 pending transactions bounce too.
So when we finally get DH's next check, I will transfer $200 into the savings and I may just not be able to cover all the bills. The important thing is to pay all the utilites before they get shut off, and make all the small credit card payments so that we don't get charged ridiculous fees.
Also, what didn't help is that DH drove all the way to the city hoping to get a job, but it turned out to be a farce. So there was $50 in gas, wasted.
