Have you started to think about Christmas yet? Done any shopping or maybe even finished with it? Cutting back any compared to previous years? Please share where you are with preparing for Christmas 2009!

I have started. Once again, it will be a smaller than normal Christmas, but at least there will be Christmas.

I have several gifts for my dd, and one for my niece. I had decided to take my niece off our list because she's 20 and in college, but she spent a lot of time with my dd this summer and I wanted to do something. So I got her a nice 9 x 12 pan and am sending her the recipe and the dry ingredients to cook her grandma's enchiladas. Figure it's a good college kid gift. She only eats spaghetti because that's all she knows how to cook. LOL

After I finish with dd, I will start on dh. And then I will get gifts for the other nieces and nephews. And that's pretty much all we buy for. It's not as fun, but it takes a lot of pressure off of everyone.

And I bought Christmas cards this year too. I didn't do any last year.

I'm done with the gift portion of things. All the shopping is done and everything was paid for with cash. I have wrapped all gifts and I even shipped things overseas this past weekend.

Dh still has to shop for me and that's all. My son says he still has to shop for me and his girlfriend but has everyone else done.

Looking forward to a stress free holiday.

Stacy

It will be smaller this year.  Less spending.  Won't be able to afford as much this year.

All I have done is take the girls out/let them look at the store ads to get an idea on what the want I am going to try next month to start shopping but am going to keep things small this year

so far the girls big wish items are scooters/protective gear and puff vests (like me) and books
my niece is getting a snap n style outfit or two to go with the doll I got her for her birthday
my 3 nephews on dh's side will get 2 dvd's (the twins are only going to be 21 months old so one dvd will work for both unless I find out they need something else that they will need )

my 2 nephews on my side is undecided for the moment

dh will get a jeep calender like last year and maybe a jeep magazine subscription and new slippers but he really does not need much
