My DS was born 8/10/94 with GBS and spent 10 days in the NICU and had no other problems with being GBS+.

My DS turned 5 on 3/31. He had GBS meningits at 7 days old. He has CP, but is doing well despite his poor prognosis. He is walking with a walker (short distances now-but is progrssing) and will be starting kindergarten in the fall. He will be getting a computer to help with his communication soon (I hope). It's been a challenge, but he is so wonderful. Five years ago at this time I was a complete basket case. We had been through hell and back and were faced with the unknown future. But here we are-Jake is such a blessing-and very handsome, may I add!

I'm so glad your son is doing ok these days. GBS is a scary thing when it effects you personally. Very exciting that he will be starting kindergarten. Keep us posted on his success.
