STRESSFUL!!!!
All my own doing, of course! I had way too many goals, and not nearly enough time to take care of them all.
Other than that, it went very well. We had 38 trick-or-treaters, which I have no idea if that is normal. The decorations looked good. People said they had fun at the party. And my costume was a moderate success, once I got it on at 9pm!
The costume? I was the Headless Horseman, and my belly was the jack-o-lantern. I didn't want to do the stereotypical pregnant lady thing, but I had no problem twisting it to my own desires! I was having some pretty big body paint issues, and DH didn't understand what kind of jack-o-lantern I was going for, which is why I only called it a moderate success. I couldn't find any body paint or even make-up to buy, so I made my own. The first batch was a complete failure, and the second one was only okay. As for the face, I was shooting for the one thrown at Ichabod in Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow, and I got the regular happy face.
I'm thinking about trying to take a little more time to get it the way I want it, and get some pictures taken. There was only one, and it was a little grainy, part of my non-painted belly was showing, and I just wasn't totally happy with it. We'll see, though.
So yeah, all in all it was good. I just have to keep reminding myself of that, since I keep going back to what didn't work out/happen.
