Hearing Impairments

Mine go back Aug 7th!!!!  We have 2 weeks left!  They are enrolled in an all day sports camp next week, and what does my dd go and do??!!!....breaks her little toe!  Now she can't run for the next 4 weeks, which means no camp, no fall soccer, and no PE at school!  UGH!!!!!

Anyway, hope you are having a great summer. HUGS all.

SYd starts her HI school on Sept 5 and her mainstream preschool on Sept 18!! So a month left!

Finn starts the day or two before Labor day, unless they do a last minute switch.  Sorley doesn't do preschool, he'll stay at the same daycare he goes to now, but she starts up a Mother Goose curriculum during the school year.

We're seeing the ENT for a regular check-up and the audiologist again tomorrow.  Finn's been turning the closed captioning on bc he says he can hear better that way.  Hopefully that doesn't mean a further hearing loss.  We're also having Sorley tested just to be sure.

We're also going to talk to the audiologist about a personal FM system for Finn.  He tried out a few different types of systems this past spring, but his IEP team decided that the personal system may fit his needs better.

He's going to have last year's gifted and talented teacher for his 2d grade teacher...woohoo!
