Have you heard of unecessarean.com? After seeing several alarming signs in different hospitals refusing acceptance of all birth plans, doulas or natural birth methods, I found this blog entry. I had to share.

It has come to my attention that in your Center there is a sign denying women the freedom to chose to have a doula assisted birth or a birth plan as well as controlling which method of delivery they choose to use as a guide to labour. This is America where women are supposed to have freedom of choice, not just acessible abortion.

Um, yea, not cool at all! I live in a town right near Provo and would have run for the hills if I happened to see that sign if I walked into their center. That is just insane! Thankfully there are a lot of birth options here so that a place like that isn't my only option if I couldn't have a homebirth for some reason. Ugh that just makes me ill!
