We have big plans this month. We're trying to close on a house some time around Thanksgiving, so we have a lot of paperwork, inspections, planning, packing, etc... to do between now and then. This is our very first home so we're very excited. I'm also about to hit 30 weeks with this pregnancy so it will be a challenge to move right before this baby is due. I'm determined that this homebirth will happen in our own home. I'm due mid January so there's a good chance of it since we should be all moved in a few weeks before Christmas. I typically carry my babies late anyway.... This has been a rough pregnancy on me so I welcome the distraction of the move. I'm going to start packing all non-essentials now (like our extensive book collection) and try to prevent a chaotic last second packing job like we experienced right before Christmas two years ago (we moved from TN to UT two days after Christmas with only two weeks to plan and pack, now that was crazy). This move isn't nearly as far (about 26 miles), but it will cut DH's commute in half, which is wonderful! My parents live with us currently so we'll have some extra help with it all. We have a great church family as well so when the day of the move comes we'll be all set. Now to go knock a few items off the To-Do list....

After three attempts, we were finally able to find out this weekend that we're having a GIRL!! DH is a little bummed but I know he'll come around.

My shower is next weekend. Seems kind of soon but my mom didn't want to do it around the holidays and January weather here is horrible so early Nov. was the best option.

My 27w appt. is my last monthly appt. and then I'll start going every two weeks. Time is flying by!!

I'm about 30 weeks right now and I keep looking over my boy baby clothes. Getting closer. It's been kind of rough the past few weeks as I'm in a lot of pain in my back/hips/pelvis and very swollen. It hurts to walk, sit, roll over, bear any weight, etc. The doc was no help "It'll go away after the birth." I need to talk to my MW, but I read about something called symphysis publis dysfunction, and it's sounds right on.

Very glad I'm having a homebirth, as a lot of interventions can  make things much worse and they actually suggest a waterbirth. Seeing a chiroprator can help prevent difficult presentations (breech, etc) that are more common with the condition, so that's on my to-do list too. Still hurts, but having an idea of what's going on really helps! Hoping the time keeps going fast.

I am 32 weeks and am getting excited about only having 6-9 weeks left! My mom is my midwife and I am loving having her to talk to about birth and labor stuff whenever I want to instead of trying to remember things at a pre-natal appointment. My son is 14 months old and I am working hard to transition him in my mind from 'my baby' to 'my big guy' so I am more prepared for the new baby. Overall I am really excited to be pregnant with the end in sight! I have a ton of hip and sacrum pain and have decided that it is just going to stick around until the baby is born. We did not find out what we are having and I am having the hardest time picking names out that I like for longer than 10 minutes. :)
