Homeschooling

As you know, we are merging with the former PS homeschooling board to a totally new board location.  There will be 4 cl's, Brenda, Sue, Kris and myself.  The new board will be built tonight and we will post the new link as soon as it is. 

As for this board, it will be turned into a read-only board very soon.  That means that all of the great info and links we have posted here will still be available, you just won't be able to post here or reply to old posts.  Also, there will be a link to this read-only board on the new board.

I look forward to seeing all of you on the new board.  Once it opens up, please take a minute and introduce yourselves so everyone can get to know you.  Thanks for your patience and understanding as we work through all the kinks!

Thanks for posting this. I'm sure everyone is relieved to hear that we aren't being swallowed up.

I've been on the new board (even posting long before it was officially the *new* board) and know that it is as welcoming and supportive of other homeschoolers as ours is.

For those of you who don't know, Jo Anna and I have been working very closely with the cls from the parent soup homeschooling board. They are wonderful ladies! We all want what is best for both boards. That's why we started talking about it over a month ago. We saw a great opportunity to combine our resources and provide something even better.

In the end, it doesn't matter if we got a new board, or combined onto one of the existing boards. What we will end up with is something we can all be proud of.

I can't wait to see the *new* board when all of the folders are fixed, and everything is arranged as Susan, Jo Anna, Kris, and I have been discussing for so long.

For those of you who attend our regular chat on Sundays from 9-11pm eastern time; we will still have that chat. It is a successful chat, and we felt it was important to keep it.

Thank you all for your patience as we work out any bugs and become a new homeschooling community.
