Work, childcare, homeschooling, household chores, grocery shopping, bill paying... These are just a few of the things that every mom has to balance.  Whether you work outside the home or are a mom that stays home with children, balance is very important.

So how do you balance everything?   What have you found works for your situation?  Does your working status have an impact on who does what at home? Most importantly, how does your way of balancing things make you feel?

For me, it's less balance, but more a juggling act.  Whichever ball is coming down soonest is the ball I deal with first, LOL.

LOL Sue, Sometimes I feel like a clown with 3 arms, juggling is useful but ya know not easy and I fail often and find myself picking up balls more than catching them....is that a new game we all need to learn how many balls can you pick up off the floor!

:) Balance is for sissy's drop the balls and play on my court!

lol... too funny to see this post, Kellie. And I was thinking of posting something like this over to the anorexia board. While balance overall is very important to me (being vegan, anorexic, bipolar, having low blood sugar issues, homeschooler, and homemaker), balance is most often something I think about in terms of diet and exercise. However, my partner has just in the last two weeks changed shifts at work so he's home by 3pm every week day and has the weekends off; I'm trying to relearn his work schedule (12 hr shifts, shift shifts, 3-2-2 scheduling was what he just left and it didn't allow much couple time, hardly any time for my partner to give me breaks from my son). I just started reading a book "What's a Smart Woman Like You Doing At Home?" that I saw mentioned in "The Well-adjusted Homeschooler" (about socialization and homeschool)- I'm wanting to see if the group that published it has a website now.
All that said, I'm not really sure I manage a good balance. I tend to be wound up, stressed out, but I almost prefer feeling that way (I know, way unhealthy and I can hear my doctor telling me I have to relax :D)
