We have not had ICSI but my RE has recommended IVF & he wants to do ICSI. From what I have read there is a 75 to 80% chance the egg will fertilize.

Of course the egg being fertilized isn't the only component to getting PG, the embryo has to implant into the lining too.

My DH's #'s are borderline low but I think the RE wants to do ICSI to increase our odds for success since I am going to be 37 next week.

I was a little torn about having to do ICSI if we get to the point of IVF since DH's numbers aren't awful but if it will help us get PG I am all for it.

Good luck with whatever you decide:)

Nat
