I am a little worried today. I have had the heaviest most painful AF I have ever had. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced the same thing after IVF. I also have quite a bit of clotting. It got so bad that I actually had to dig out the Vicodin I had left over from a back injury. I have an appt on Wednesday but if it hasn't lightened up by tomorrow I'm going to call the Dr. Thanks girls!

Hugs Lori! I hope it lightened up. I am not sure but I wonder if it is from all of the meds building up a big lining?

Keep me posted on how you are feeling!

I'm 37, DH is 41 and we are TTC #1. We've had 2 unexplained miscarriages and a bout with Asherman's Syndrome but we're determined.

IUI #1 = BFN

IUI #2 (Aug 09) = BFN

On to IVF - stims start Sept 14th! 

IVF Canceled:( converted to IUI... BFP!!! 13dpo - 65 15dpo - 128 19dpo - 495 23dpo - 1987 I'm keeping up the prayers! u/s Oct 30th

My post-DEIVF cycle AF was pretty brutal.  I think Kelly is right, it's probably from the meds building up your lining.

Lori, I've experienced more painful than usual AF's after an IVF cycle.  I always contributed it to the higher stimulation meds and progesterone causing a thicker lining.  With my last IVF, my last lining check before retrieval was at 15mm, so I certainly had a heavier AF and more cramping with it.  Hope you feel better by tomorrow!
 

Me (29), DH (30)  Photobucket since March 2006.
4/07 & 5/07 & 6/07: Clomid 50mg - All BFN
7/07: 1st RE appt
8/07 & 9/07: IUI #1 & #2 with Femara - Both BFN
10/07: IUI #3 with Femara - BFP!, m/c :(
3/08: IUI #4 with Femara & Follistim - BFN
4/08: IUI #5 with Follistim, converted to IVF #1,10 eggs, 7 fertilized ICSI, 2 transferred - BFN
6/08: IUI #5 with Femara & Follistim - BFN
7/08 to 9/08: IVF #2,10 eggs, 5 fertilized ICSI, 3 fertilized std, 2 transferred - BFN
10/08: IUI #6 with Femara & Follistim - BFP!, loss :(
11/08: IUI #7 with Femara & Follistim - BFN
1/09: New RE appt
2/09 to 3/09: IVF #3,14 eggs, 8 of 10 eggs fertilized ICSI, day 5 ET of 2 blasts - BFP!, loss :( 
DH's chromosome testing abnormal, moving forward with DS IVF instead of PGD.
8/09 to 9/09: IVF #4, chose to cancel due to drop in estrogen after 10 days of stims

Where we are now: IVF - BCPs until 10/22, Start Lupron on 10/18, U/S and E2 appt on 10/27

Lori,

I hate to break it to you but this is completely normal.  After my second IVF I had the worst cramps and heaviest cycle.  I was so happy it came on the weekend because I would have stayed home from work.  What I did was took the left over meds from my ER and used a heating pad.  I pretty much stayed in bed for at least 2 days.  I am sorry it is so painful and heavy...definatlly one of the downsides of BFN and IVF.
