Hi everyone, I've been on the TTC board for a few months, and finally decided it was time to move over here.  We've been actively trying to conceive for 8 months, with no luck.  My regular ob/gyn did FSH and progesterone levels and when the progesterone levels turned out lower than expected, he referred me to an RE.  Since then, things have gone extremely fast, and I feel like I'm in a whirlwind.  It only took 6 days for an appt with the RE, we saw him on Monday and had about 8 vials of blood drawn, and this morning (Wed.) I had an HSG done(which showed no issues, thank god).  Next week i'm having an internal ultrasound to see if I am ovulating, along with more bloodwork.  Dr. has said it looks like I will be going on clomid next month (he's thinking I have PCOS and we're waiting for blood work results).  My husband is having his s/a in 2 weeks and depending on what that says, we may be doing clomid alone, or with insemination.  I'm freaking out that this all seems to be going so fast... does the diagnostic stage usually go like this?  I feel like as soon as i have time to breathe, they are scheduling me for something different!  I am happy they are being so proactive, but I feel like i didnt' have much time to prepare!!   Anyway, that's my story- good luck to all...

Welcome to the board, Jezebel57.  That's great that you didn't have to wait long for an RE appt (the wait in my area is between 1 to 3 months) and that your RE's office is being so proactive with the preliminary testing.  Some offices don't move that quick or they may have to be asked to do testing.  Hopefully you'll get answers soon then about which plan moving forward should be best to get your BFP.  But, if you are uncomfortable with the speed or feel rushed, tell the office that, you can always wait for the next cycle if you need some breathing room.  Feel free to jump in on any posts here or join one of our monthly support groups down below in the Thinking of You section of the board if you like as well.  Best of luck!

Hi Jezebel57,

I think I posted to you on the TTC board about the progesterone level, glad you found your way over here! RE's definitely like to move a lot faster with testing than OB's. Personally I like that pace but if it is too much they will be willing to slow down to whatever pace works for you and DH.

Good news that your hsg came back all clear, I hope you get good news on the SA too. Feel free to jump in and ask any questions, there are a lot of women with tons of experience and knowledge here. They have helped me out so much and I hope you find the same!
