IVF Support, Advice & Friends

Hi Ladies, Got my update on the embies this morning. As of yesturday the 27 retrieved, 20 were mature, and 11 fertilized with ICSI. They said this will watch them overnight and call me on Sunday. So today I got a call bright and early and they were very pleased...they all divided! And 9 of the 11 already divided to 4 cells and there are 2 that were at 2 cells. Transfer is tomorrow morning at 7:15...looking forward to putting them back in thier 'home'!

BTW, I feel great today. Yesturday I was still sore and bloated (more so by evening), but I made sure I drank lots of water. Feeling well enough to do my normal routine (cook, clean, and laundry!)

Oh Christie!  That is incredible news!!!!!  So, that's a 5dt for you then?  (I've been in dumb mode since I started stimming and I can't really think straight...besides, I don't know which day the count starts...the day of the retreival, or the following day?) Very cool!  I'm very excited for you.  I am praying that everything goes well tomorrow.

My RE told me he is looking at Thursday for ER for me...I'm going to end up stimming for 12 days it seems like...I had 8 follies on the right side and 5 on the left.  The one that's ahead, was at 21 today.  My RE was in a bad mood this morning, so he didn't measure all of them.  My E2 is  2440, or something like that.  It doubled in a day or so...ugh...I go back in tomorrow for more monitoring.

I POAS this evening and got a BFP!! I go for my Beta on Wednesday but I am going to see if they can take me Monday instead. I had my FET w/ one blast on Oct 2nd....
I so had mixed feelings about whether or not this would work and I am so happy!
Hopefully I am the first of a long line of BFP's in the October list..

Update...so today I went in for my 3dt...sat in the office for a while then the doctor called me into his office. I said, um...aren't we supposed to go to the transfer room and he said..."We need to talk"....my heart sank!

Bottom line, it is a very good conversation to have, he assured me before we got started. Of all 11 embies that are growing....9 are already 8 or 10 cells and compacted...the other two were 6 cells.All embies were grade 1. He said they don't do this very often, but they are encouraging a 5dt of 2 blasts. I had mixed emotions, knowing all along I wanted to do a 5dt vs. a 3dt....so I got my wish! He still believes we will have about 5 embies to freeze even after doing a 5dt.

Even though I got up at the crack of dawn, drove an hour and drank all my water...I will be returning for a 5dt on Wednesday!

MADDIE~ congrats on your BFP...I hope you have a healthy and happy 9 months! What a great way to get the October group started!
