How does everyone know all the details of their stimulation statistics? Do they tell you what your levels are every time you go for bloodwork?

I am scheduled to start on my first IVF in about 4 weeks. We were diagnosed with MFI. I am 33, DH is 38. I am cycling with Cornell and so far I don't really know any of my numbers. Our RE suggested going straight to IVF since DH has such low count.

My office usually just tells people their levels are "good" or "not good" but I asked for all the details and they were always happy to give them.  GL on your upcoming cycle!!!

You should be able to get any information for any tests that you have taken from your RE's office. You pay for the test so they have to give you the results. As far as when stimming, my RE's have always told me what the blood levels were and how many follicles are coming around.

Good Luck!!!

CHRIS

Thanks Ladies! I really don't know what numbers constitute "good" and "not good" but I guess that's why we pay so much for the experts! Anyone know why a woman wouldn't respond favorably to the meds? I keep reading about people's cycles being cancelled and I don't know why.

Yep, the clinic likely won't tell you without your asking because some women don't care to know. I always ask for the specific hormones levels, though, and keep them in a little notebook. Since you'te MFI, it's less important, but it definitely is helpful to start tracking. You need to ask them outright for them -- it's not confrontational, it's not like they don't want to tell you, they just don't bother if you don't ask.

This is the best site that most of us have found to compare your levels/range:

DX with Stage IV endo in 12/07, laprascopy 2/08.
IUI #1 (Clomid) 9/08 - BFP. Lost at 6w3d, D&E in 12/08.
Hysteroscopy in 2/09 to remove polyps.
IUI #2 (Injectables) 3/09 - BFN
IUI #3 (Injectables) 4/09 - BFN
IUI #3 (Injectables) 5/09 - BFN
IVF #1 (EPP Antagonist Protocol) 6/09. 15 days of high stimming, just one follie. Egg retrieved, beautiful HIP 8-cell, grade 1 embie at 3-day transfer. BFN
BFP July 2009 - a shocker of a natural pregnancy. Great betas, perfect 8-week u/s. At first OB appt on 9/9/09, found out there was no longer a h/b. D&E on 9/11/09. Chromosomal analysis inconclusive, assuming chromosomal issues again.
Excisional breast biopsy for atypical hyperplastic cells found on earlier biopsy - 9/24/09. Results negative (the good kind of negative).
Next up:
Post-m/c Saline Sonogram.
December 2009 IVF #2 - EPP Protocol again, swapping 450 Gonal-f/150 Menopur for 300/300, along with requisite Ganirelix.
