Hi Everyone...

This is my first time being a surrogate. Im 32 and have 3 beautiful little girls. I ve been reading all your discussions and am finding great support here already.

Im exactly 6 days since 2 grade A emmbies were transferred. Ive had no symptoms soo far just some slight nauseau which im sure is down to the meds.

My IP are really anxious to know if i would test postive on a HPT.....so i went to day and got one..negative..I fell its early still and blood work isnt for another week so im still really hopefull..unfortunately IP is really upset now that it a neg=(...the 2ww is horrible so many things go through your head ..

Can anyone give me some comforting words to relay to her....                    ..also if the eggs dont attach will i get AF in the meantime???

What day did you do the transfer. Yes, probably is too early. Lots of gals have gotten a negative HPT test and gone on to have a positive beta test. Each brand of HPT is different and has lower and higher sensitivity so this also can have a role in a negative. I would give it a few more days and see what happens.

Hi Chris thanks for the positive words..i did the transfer one week ago today so Oct 28 and BT due for Nov 11th.

I didnt know that HPT had different sensitivity!!! Well fingers crossed

Thanks for the luck, I need all I can get. I think one of the most sensitive test is First Response Early response, they measure HCG between 15 and 25u. So if you are gonna do an HPT again, might want to use one of those. There are others that also do the same but I can't think of their names off the top of my head. If you had a 3dt then you are only 9dpo (days past ovulation or in IVF cases days past retrieval when the eggs were fertilized) which is defiantly too early. If you had a 5dt then you are only 11dpo which is still early. I have seen some ladies get a positive at 10dpo but most won't get a positive till 12, 13, 14 dpo.

I think that it is too early to test.  (I, personally, am NOT a fan of home pregnancy tests, in that they can five false results, anyway).  However, you can still have a late implanter.  See my signature- 10 days after my transfer my beta results were only 16, which would not show up on most pregnancy tests.
