Does anyone have any advice for getting the sticky off after removing e2 patches?  My FET is tuesday and it's getting gross!

Also, any reccommendations to soothe the area where the patches were?  I am notoriously sensitive to adhesive and look like I have red welts with black goo around them.  REALLY HOTT!!

Thanks-

L

My prayers are with the men, women, and children of Ft. Hood.

Hey there L -- I haven't tried it myself, but I read that baby oil is good for getting off the goo. When I used the patches last IVF, I had to keep the last one on until it fell off, so the goo kind of resolved itself. For the rashes, you might want to try some benadryl if your RE says its OK, I have the same sensitivity to adhesives and I know it can be crazy-making ;).

I use the moisturizing make up remover pads. It takes a minute but comes off completely. The non-oily pads don't work very well. Probably baby oil would work too...

Good luck with your FET!

L- I will be praying for you next Tuesday!!! How many are you transferring?  Looks like you already got some good advice for the E2 patches...baby oil. Maybe your RE's Nurse may have access to some skin prep pads (same size as alcohol pads) that you can wipe on the area before applying the patch, it may help protect your skin.....

Karen-  hopefully, we will be transfering Fred and Wilma.  It depends on if they both survive the thaw.

Everyone else, thanks for the advice about thebaby oil!  i will definitely be trying it out!

Thanks for everything, ladies!
