Reading that article about transferring only one embie made me think.  I have 3.5 year old twins (from an IUI cycle) yes my pregnancy was hard. I had my boys at 36 weeks 3 days, a planned c-section. One had to be in the NICU for a few days, but other than that, they were perfect. I have to admit, I’m really hoping for twins again. (but NOT more than that) I have 3 kids, a ten year old, and my twins. My ten year old was all alone for 6 years, he didn’t get to grow up playing with siblings. If I get pregnant this cycle, my twins will be 4.5 years old when the baby/babies are born. It has been so much fun seeing my twins have each other to play with. They are best friends, and to be honest, I think it has been easier to have twins than just one, at least after about the first 6 months. This is our last try. I would love this last baby have a playmate like my twins. My family would really feel complete. So for me two embies is not a risk… it is a hope. I was just wondering how many others out there feel this way. I guess when it is so hard to have a baby, your expectations change.

ME!  I want twins! I want anything that I can get at this point! After 2 failed fresh cycles, and an upcoming FET, I just want to be and stay pregnant!

I want twins. I know it would be a harder pregnancy but I just would rather get it over in one shot. Like you, I want a playmate for my child. I grew up in a large family. I have 4 brothers and 1 sister. My mom had 3 of us in 4 yrs so we always had someone to play with. I will feel lucky either way if I am blessed with a singleton or twins. I will just try to get PG again not too long after having the first.

We really wanted twins, and I was almost certain we had gotten them when my first beta (14dpER) was 293!  I was, in fact, fearing triplets :/  LOL.  Come to find out, we had one very healthy little embryo :)  We were disappointed for about a day, then so thankful that this little one hit the ground running and never looked back!
