I am no longer a milking cow........ I am so happy to announce I will no longer be pumping breastmilk.  I am (trying) to convince myself to be ok with it here. lol   anyway.  I have never let anything frustrate me more in my life as I have this time pumping to feed my girls.  I get this pain in my back not pain so much as anxiety or frustration and tense aching in my back every time I attach myself to the MACHINE I think it would be different and is when they latch but attached to that MACHINE is so done.  All that said the girls are now gonna be formula babies only with mommy time 1 time a day each.  That way I can enjoy them and they can enjoy me.  and I wont have to stress about how much milk I have in the fridge or how much they are getting from me... I have to say im not completely convinced but I REFUSE TO BE ATTACHED TO THAT DA"N MACHINE ANYMORE I dont have time in the day to nurse them on demand and really dont have the urge to do it either.  I know sounds bad but 2 are way too much for me.. Miles was awesome to nurse but IM DONE.  Ok so that is out there lol

Christi  no longer a milking machine.

{{{Christi}}} It is not bad that you've made the decision not to pump any more. You are a good mom and you've made a decision that is right for you and your family.

I felt really bad when I had to supplement with Ben, and when he weaned. But he's healthy and that's what matters most. After nursing 3 babies for over a year each, I never thought it wouldn't be the same with Ben. But I was reminded that all babies are different with Ben.

It is the same with your babies. You are doing the best you can do, and that is all anyone can ask. Pumping is hard and there is only so much we all can do in one day.

Be happy and enjoy your beautiful babies.

Hugs,

You are doing great Cristy. you have pumped for so long already and it is hard. i remember just working and pumping and that was so hard. every baby is different, each situation is very different even with same momma because things change over time and each time we have to figure out what will work this time. I know your little ones will enjoy a happier momma and ff will work out just fine. you sound like you are just taking care of business, you and them, in the best way for everyone. i don't know how anyone iwth twins bf anyway. you are amazing
hugs Sher Go with the flow of good chaos having a baby

I understand your desire to throw your pump out the window!  With our now 2 yr old I pumped for 13 weeks.  When he finished I never pumped again, and he nursed for 14 mths!  When Lia was born 13 weeks early I was so upset I cried when they wheeled in my pump!  My milk didn't come in and I had a terrible time pumping.  After 13 more weeks of pumping, I just threw all the parts in the bag and closed it in the closet.  I swear if it wasn't so darn expensive I would have thrown it out the window LOL!  Lia is nursing well, and I have no desire to pump any milk.  Of course my freezer is still full, so I should never need to pump more :-) In the end you have to keep your sanity, and the girls look great (from your last pics) so I say congratulations for sticking with pumping for so long, and just enjoy your bonding time!

As on off topic question, are the girls getting RSV shots?  Lia is going to start her first one this week and I'm nervous.  When the med company was talking to me about what they include in the kit, they told me it has an epi pen, YIKES!  Dh and I were back and forth on the risks over the benefits.  Just curious :-)
