birth control? We are trying out different things. We hated condoms, but they are the cheapest thing. Last night, we tried the sponge. Honestly, I haven't used one since high school, and that was a solid 25 years ago. It was weird, and made the strangest sound. he got a Vasectomy about 2 weeks ago so we are just waiting for him to shoot blanks. anyone using anything temporary that they like? If I was looking for a long term solution for me, I'd go with IUD, but we only need coverage for another 2 weeks at the most. BTW, I'm not super new here, just changed my user name today. Got my divorce this week and am trying on new id's! Thanks
Well, since you only need to use something for another two weeks....can you bear with the condoms till then? It is cheap and the most effective barrier method out there. Think about it, use them for two more weeks, and then you won't have to worry about them again!
I think I said that we tried the sponge last night. I like that it's multiple use and allows us to be spontaneous. The thing with the condoms is the we are trying to achieve max ejaculations for him, the more, the better, so he will shoot blanks sooner. But then, we get going and have to pause to put on the condom, which frankly doesn't fit him very well, squeezes him and is a bit uncomfortable for him, so that takes some pleasure out of it for him. anyway, tmi, I'm sure. Just wanted to see what others are using.
Good Luck with your new stage in life. I don't really have a suggestion other than condoms and spermicide. You could also turn to just oral sex in the meanwhile or other ways of loving... toys, hands, ect.
