First congratulations on your first post here! :)
I'm so sorry you are feeling bad and feeling like an outcast.
Okay...I was totally where you are right now, just a couple of years ago. My older 2 kids were vaccinated and for some reason around the time my 2 year old was born I started researching vaccinations. I think it was something someone said in the pregnancy group I was in so I came here and read some things so I didn't have him vaccinated when he was born and chose to wait until I knew more. Well, it's 2 years later and he still hasn't been vaccinated for anything and has been to the doctor only a few times and he's fine. And even probably exposed to swine flu, or at least seasonal flu and he never got sick. My daughter and I were both sick with some kind of flu but my husband, and both sons have been fine.
I come here for support. Exactly what the group is here for. But before I didn't have my youngest vaccinated, and before I researched it, I had my son and daughter, at 11 and 13 vaccinated for everything that they were due for, including my daughter who had the HPV vaccine, same as yours did. So don't say, "stupid you." We just didn't know. And thank God! Our girls are okay. Right?
My daughter even had 4 shots at once! This was while I was still pregnant with my 2 year old. I had no idea! And I felt terrible, terrible guilt for quite a long time after coming here and learning the truth. And we are having issues with her, which seemed to start after her last vaccinations and I wonder everyday if it's because of the shots. Also, my oldest son has ADHD. Again, I wonder if it was caused by the vaccinations. But it is, what it is. I can't change it. But I can keep them from taking any more vacs from now on.
It's not just where you live. They are pushing H1N1 vaccinations here too, especially in the schools, but they aren't mandatory, yet! The news doesn't do their research apparently. Everyone gets their information from the CDC and I don't believe a thing they say!
As far as being an outcast; we haven't "come out" to any family members yet, and don't know what they really think. It hasn't been discussed. I have talked to my mother and she understands I think, because she remembers the swine flu vaccination in 1976 and remembers how many people got sick and died.
I sometimes hear too much from the media and start doubting our decisions to not vaccinate so I deal with it by coming here and the vaccination debate group and getting support.
Hope this helps! You aren't alone!!!!
HUGS!
