From the swine flu vaccine insert:

http://www.mims.com.au/emims/errata/20090925/man08144.pdf

USE IN PREGNANCY: (Category B2)

The safety profile of the vaccine in pregnant women is unknown.  Healthcare professionals should assess the potential benefits and risks of administering Panvax® H1N1 Vaccine to pregnant women on a case by case basis, taking into account Australian Health Authorities' recommendations.

So why are they giving this vaccine to pregnant women?  I wonder how many women miscarry after getting this vaccine.   Then agaIn, that may be the intent.

And that concludes Saturday's News...

Christine

Thank you so much for posting the Glaxo link.  It appears to be a non adjuvant vaccine (so I wonder how they jump start the immune system without it) and does that mean no squalene in that one?  And does this   "DOES NOT SUGGEST" really mean anything conclusive?  Sounds too open ended for me. From your link:

Pregnancy and lactation:

There are currently no data available on the use of Pandemrix™ (H1N1) in pregnancy. Data from pregnant women vaccinated with different inactivated non-adjuvanted seasonal vaccines do not suggest malformations or foetal or neonatal toxicity.

Animal studies with Pandemrix™ do not indicate reproductive toxicity.

Hello, women are not animals!!!
