I received an email from ivillage with information about the Ohio Board being merged into a Northern and Midwest Friends Board.  The merge will take place on Friday, Oct 24.  The link to the new board will be posted when I receive it or when Wendy W stops by to give an update.  I've been asked to continue as a cl there.

Change isn't always fun, but a merger can be a good thing for groups of slower boards.  A board representing a larger region will have more members and be a more active community.  THAT is always exciting!  I hope all of you take the time to pop over to the new board and let everyone see our O-H! I-O! pride.

Our board will become "read only" on the 24th and be removed from the message board list at that time.  Please, take some time to bookmark or copy any links from the board you might want to refer to at a later date.

(((hugs)))

Hello all Ohio friends!!!

I wanted to stop by to invite you all to come over to the Northern and Midwest board.  We have a great time; and we are all excited to have you join us.  Please feel free to click on my link in my signature.

I am the co-cl of the board and have been for many years.  I joined the board 9 years ago when it was orginally a Midwest stay at home moms board.  We have merged before with boards so we are old hat at this.

My name is Donna.  My husband and I have 3 children; ds who is 15 yos; dd 11 yos and ds 8 yos.  We live in rural Iowa where my dh farms and I work part time.

Please come join us!!!!

Amy - I'm sad to see the Ohio Board close, too.  I've found out it is a large merge covering Illinois, Indiana, Kansas & Missouri, Michigan, Minnesota, Northern & Midwest Moms, Ohio, West Virginia, & Wisconsin.  The co-cl for the Northern and Midwest Moms group said they have several posters from Ohio already there. It sounds like it will be a a smooth transition.  :)
