I need help with my 15 month old sleeping habits. In the last few weeks, hes been needing to sleep with me in my bed. Hes always slept in his crib, until now. I believe hes teething. He also is a VERY light sleeper, and wakes when I go to get into my bed (his crib is in my bedroom), or anything for that matter. I don't know what to do to keep him asleep. Should I have the TV a bit louder when he naps? How do I get him accustomed to sleeping with noise. Keep in mind, he wakes to the quietest noise. My son woke up twice last night and cried for a good 20 minutes until I had to take him out, and give him some milk. I'm even thinking about putting up a sheet in front of his crib, so he cant see me in bed. I don't know what to do, and the last resort is to give my son his own room, which is where my bed is now. But its still a very difficult idea, being as my son, me and my bf still live with my parents. Any suggestions for helping with this problem would greatly help!

A friend of mine had this problem with her twins, she also lived with her parents and so only had the one room for the three of them so if the boys werent waking each other up, mum was waking them up! She started playing music at a semi-loud level in the room when they were put down for sleep, it took a few days of them going down to music to adjust to that but once they got used to it she could turn it off and had no problems with them waking up - although the boys were around 8-10 mths (if i can remember correctly) when it started so im not sure if your OYO being older would make a difference.. but HTH :)

((HUGS)), we've been having this issue with my DD waking too early when DH gets ready for work and it's so tough.  And she's not in our room.  I can't make noise during her naps because I'm 35 weeks pg and sleeping myself.  : )  Anyway, we were recently at a sleep specialist for another issue, and he said that the big thing is not to expose them to light before you want them to wake up.  I wish I had other suggestions...  If it is just teething, at that age I assume canines or molars?  Both were very tough for Galete and the disruption lasted a few weeks, but she did get better with sleeping once they were through.
