Victoria had her "Fancy Dress Party" at school this afternoon.  They aren't allowed to call it Hallowe'en in case it's too scary or offends people who don't celebrate Hallowe'en.  Everyone dresses up whether they celebrate it or not!  She and her BFF went as Siamese Twins - I suspect that was an excuse to wear girly clothes (well, ripped leggings, skirt and matching home designed T-shirts) plus make-up for school!  She went to her BFF's house at lunch time to get dressed, then they tied themselves together with scarves!  Her friend dressed up as Michael Jackson and looked great!

I'm taking the rest of the week off work.  I feel a lot better than yesterday but still have a sore throat and cough so won't go and spread my germs on the last day of the week!  I've been answering work e-mails anyway so I don't really need to be there.

DH and Victoria are feeling much better.

So glad everyone is feeling better! The dressing up and Siamese twins thing sounds very cute!

Today is just a regular old day. I do have to make the Halloween goodies for the class party tomorrow. Nothing major (and there are only 6 kids, so it's not a huge undertaking either). I had bought little black tins from Target (2 for $1) and am writing each kids name on the front in silver sharpie, adding a Halloween sticker, and then inside they get a Halloween pencil, small eraser, small notepad (looks like Frankenstein), two of those tiny tootsie pops, two of the small hershey bars that look like gravestones and then one big candy bracelet with a candy eyeball hanging off. LOL All that inside the tin, wrapped up in saran wrap (couldn't find the fancy stuff) with a pretty white ribbon which says, "Halloween" on it wrapped around it. Scored the ribbon for .49 at AC Moore yesterday. :)

Gonna make a nice spaghetti and meatball dinner (store-bought meatballs, but they are really very yummy) and hunker down to watch The Vampire Diaries tonight. :)

So glad to hear you're feeling better, Moss!  I agree, though, about taking the last week of the day off.  Might as well rest up and make sure you're over it!

Sounds like Victoria had a fun day at school.  :O)

Today has been a cold, rainy day. Took Travis to school early this morning for intramurals. He called me a bit later to inform me that he forgot his band book, drum sticks and mallets, so I had to run them up to him. Sooo, to keep this from becoming a recurring thing, I made him make up a chart after school. For each day of the week he wrote down what activities he has and what needs to be in his backpack (reading log, band stuff, library books, etc). We taped it up on his bedroom door and I told him he needs to check it every morning before school and make sure he has everything he needs. We'll see how THAT goes! Wish us luck! ;-)

I bagged up not one but two bags of junk out of the basement to go out in the garbage tomorrow. There's still a lot to go! Not to mention my "junk" room (spare bedroom)...it's a disaster. It's where I stick all those assorted things that I think I want to keep but don't know what to do with at the moment. It's all a big task so I'm trying to do a little bit each day. I should be done sometime next year.

Nothing going on tonight. I'm looking forward to the yummy dinner I'm making (blackened salmon, baked potatoes, and mixed veggies) and watching some TV.
