Good morning!

We had a pretty good weekend.  I got to go out car shopping and that's always fun!!  (I know some people hate it, but I actually love it!)  Unfortunately, we didn't find the perfect fit just yet.  But it's ok, we're not in a hurry or anything.  We're just looking for something a bit bigger than my car.  Although my Altima is very roomy for a sedan with good trunk space.  We're thinking of maybe a RAV4 or Nissan Rogue or perhaps a new Subaru Outback.  (the 2010 Outbacks have changed and are much bigger than they used to be)  Anywho... it was also fun to be out by myself to do it too.  DH was home with Ian all day yesterday.  :)

Speaking of which, DH goes back to work today.  It's been nice having him home on vacation, but I'm also ready for him to go back.  :)

We have music class this morning and then I'll stop off and get my 3rd betas done!!!

Good morning! It was a pretty mellow weekend for us. Friday we went to dinner with some old high school friends, but decided to skip the homecoming football game, due to the pouring rain. It was still a nice evening! We didn't do much on Saturday, except go to dinner at some of Chris' clients-turned-friends' house. They are the coolest guys - they've been together over 30 years and always tease us that we're only friends with them to try to get in their will, since they don't have kids. It was fun!

Gabs is still getting over her cold, and DH's has been going on for over 2 weeks and seemed worse yesterday, so we laid low all day Sunday. I called and got the two of them in with our GP this afternoon. We are missing Waterbabies this morning, since Gabby is still asleep now!

Oh, and we had a big swine flu scare with the family over the weekend. My sister is 8 months pregnant, and her DH just came down with it on Saturday. For some reason she refused to leave the house, but we finally talked her into staying at my parents'. Just not worth risking it! They are both now on the Tamiflu Rx, even though she is not having symptoms (yet, anyway). Really worried for her!

Cheryl ~ I love car shopping, just not car buying. I let DH deal with that part! We're in the research stage for a new car, too. We want something with 3rd row seating, but still lots of storage space for stroller/100lb labrador retriever, and can tow our boat (right now DH tows the boat with his pickup, then Gabs and I ride in our Subaru Legacy wagon) with the whole family in the car. We are considering a used Toyota Sequoia or a Lexus SUV. We'll see! And can't wait to hear your good 3rd beta results later today!!!!

We had a quiet weekend.  We didn't get as much done as we wanted to around the house but we got some things finished.  We also made some decisions regarding where we will put the new baby in the house.  I will say, our grumpy nights with Jocelyn have turned into grumpy days!  She will now go to sleep at night and sleeps well most nights but man, she is a grumpy baby!  She won't nap during the day anymore so she gets grumpy by noon.  If she does nap, we have to hold her or she wakes up.  Ugh, we can't win at all!

The good news is the sun is finally out today!  Have a great day everyone!

Cheryl - I hate car shopping.  That is the only thing I don't have to do, buy a bigger car.  My roomy Expedition is big enough :)  Good for you for going at car shopping alone!  I actually won't go without a tough friend of mine (my DH can be a wimp sometimes).  GL with your betas today!!!!!!

Amy - Oh no, poor DH.  I am hoping he gets better soon.  At least Gabs is on the mend.  I hope your sister and her family are okay!  A friend of mine got a Sequoia and she absolutely loves it!

Lindsay ~ Sorry to hear about Jocelyn's grumpiness! Could she be working on molars or anything? That sounds miserable. Hang in there!

Morning ladies! We had a looong weekend, Henry has some stomach bug and had diarrhea all weekend, poor guy. Plus with the pregnancy I am already feeling nauseated and super exhausted all the time (I know, good sign right?). Then our cat Fluffy disappeared for 2 days, which has never happened, I was so worried something happened to her. We went out Saturday to hang up flyers and my FIL found her under their deck! They live down the street and I guess Fluffy decided to visit! She was super dirty and hungry, I'm so happy to have her home!

Today I need to get back to work and then hopefully run some errands later. I skipped pilates class this morning since Henry is sick. The class ends this Friday but it's been really fun, I feel like I've worked out areas I didn't know I could!

We are car shopping too! We're not really in a big hurry, but we've got about 8 months to decide! I'm bummed because I LOVE my Honda Element but it only has 2 seats in the back so obviously I'm going to need something bigger. It has lots of cargo room and gets 30 mpg and it's hard to find something I like as much. I don't feel like I'm a minivan person but I cannot find anything else that would seat so many and get good mileage. UGH Oh if you guys hate the hassle of car shopping, go through Costco!! The have a program where they team up with dealerships and have a representative there and they have a low costco price and that's it, no hassles! We were super happy with our experience with them! They might only do new cars though, I'm not sure.

Cheryl, it'll probably be nice to get back into your "normal" schedule today! Can't wait to hear your beta results!

Amy, sounds like a fun weekend! Hope DH & Gabs get to feeling better soon. Yikes about the swine flu too, I am so paranoid about that now being pg. Hope your sister stays safe.
