Ok, so I just found out we're expecting again (our youngest is only 6 1/2 months and breastfed, oldest is 4). Not planned, definitely a big surprise. I was not yet regularly menstruating, although I did last month so due date shouldn't be a problem, and we were just beginning to use NFP since my period seemed to be returning and I've had bad reactions to other methods in the past (no need now lol).

My problem is, my husband was in a serious accident at work when I was 8 months pregnant and is returning to complete his nursing degree in the fall (because his current job is too strenuous and he needs to change careers as quickly as possible). Because of this, he is now looking for an overnight job while he goes to school, which will almost certainly pay far less than he's making now, so we're already stressed financially. I have been looking for something part-time near home, but it's hard while nursing an infant and working around my husband's schedule. I have my BA in journalism and was working at an ad agency until the youngest was born, but they don't currently have anything I can do from home and freelance work is few and far between.

In light of our current financial situation, I have no idea how to break the news to my husband that number 3 is on the way! He's been sooooo stressed lately, I'm afraid to add to that. Plus, I'm a little overwhelmed right now, to say the least, and if he reacts negatively it will only get me more upset.

Anyway, I guess my question is, does anyone here have any experience with a situation like this? How did you handle it? Is it horrible if I wait a bit to break the news ... maybe until he's done interviewing and has found a good new job, something like that (he's had quite a few interviews these past two weeks and we're waiting to hear from a few that didn't sound too bad)? Anyone know of a "gentle" way to tell him that might be better than "Surprise ... we're pregnant AGAIN!"

If anyone can offer any suggestions or if you've been in this situation too, I'd love to hear from you! TIA!
