The latest information suggests that Swine Flu is especially dangerous to pregnant women.  The CDC (Center for Disease Control) is recommending that pregnant women be among the first to receive the H1N1 vaccine when it becomes available.  Please talk to your doctor about your risks and find out what you can do to protect yourself and your baby!

Who Should Get Swine Flu Shots First?  As the CDC prepares a report on who should get the swine flu vaccine first, a new study finds pregnant women with the virus face higher death risk. Dr. Nancy Snyderman gets the latest on the vaccines from NBC’s Robert Bazell.

Thanks for the info I will check it out. I am equally concerned with the actual vaccine as i am with the Swine Flu itself. I want to research how it is tested and how they know it will be safe for my baby. It is all sort of quick and new.

Thanks again!

You're welcome!  It's hard to make a decision between 2 things that sound scary.  Hopefully you can talk with your doctor and figure out the risks and benefits for your situation.  I think part of it depends on where you live, what you are exposed to, etc.

You can always get the latest info from the CDC at www.cdc.gov
