First, I am in no way taking away from the awesome-ness of her photographic ability.  I am an avid true lurker/follower of her blog and pictures.

I love looking at photography blogs.  I have several that I go into daily just to look through their shots and awe over their skill (several several, well, ok, everyone on this board if they have one).  I just enjoy doing that.

Kelsey Anderson (http://kelseyandersonphotography.com/blog/) is one that I follow faithfully.  I love her work.  Anyway, in the attached picture, if you look close, you can actually see her in this precious babe's eyes.  Can you see it???  My question is, how does she post edit to be able to see that.  I know she didn't just add it in, but OMG, it is stunning.  I was just wondering how she enhanced it so much that you can actually see her in it or is it a way that she sets the settings on her cam to get it.  Am I making any sense?

Well, here is the pic.  What do you think?

Ok, edited to delete picture because I am a doofus and didn't know that I shouldn't have attached it.  Kelsey, if you read this, I am so so so sorry!!  So, now you will have to go to her blog and find the pic.   It's about 5 pages or so into it...Sept 7th entry...She said that little boys name is Dylan.  So, if you can find it, that is great!!!

I cant say for sure because I dont know everything she did to PP that but I would guess that she didnt do much more than enhancing the eye color, and probably didnt do anything to be able to see her more. She just caught herself in the baby's reflection. I'm going to attach a picture I took of my son at the park a while ago that I got myself in his reflection. This was shot on Auto from my Nikon D60, and I just did basic editing and sharpening, nothing special.

I love that. I took a picture once and I showed up in it, but I didn't even realize it until my daughter said something to me. It wasn't as clear as these. I wish I knew which picture it was and I would share it.

Personally, I think the one with the brown eyes came out better (as far as being able to actually see the photographer). That is great!

Looking at the attached image (not sure if it's okay to post the actual image here or not since it's a copyright image...just a thought) but it does appear to have been edited a fair amount.  To get your own reflection in the eyes, the key is catchlights.  And for it to be a close up shot.  Also know that some eyes are much more reflective than others.  Some are naturally glossy and reflect more than others. There is another on her blog with a dark eyed baby that has the same thing.  My next guess is she is popping the eyes, maybe by hand or an action.  I have a eye pop action that has a catchlight layer which makes the eyes more glossy and enhances any reflections that are already in them.  She also appears to add contrast, light, color and sharpening to her eyes as well!  So the image has to have it there already, then you use sharpening, curves, contrast etc to enhance it.  I've shared the eye pop action here and it's also on my blog if you'd like to try it out.  It only works in full PS.

Thank you everyone!  I am just captivated by the eyes!

And, Crystal, I would hate to think that I did something wrong.  I thought that since I mentioned who the "artist" was and pasted her blog with it that it would be ok.  I hope that it was ok.
