I had sinus headaches all weekend and was up 2nights in a row unable to breathe thru my nose at all. So I had to breathe thru my mouth and that made me dry and parched. I've had lots of sinus issues in the past, and I know that probably the best thing is just to keep irrigating my sinuses. But I feel so bubbly-headed and sick!

Just had to vent. Any other suggestions welcome, although beyond Saline spray I don't think I can do much.

Rats. I was just coming in to suggest saline spray!  I have terrible sinus and allergy issues, too.  They are terrible right now!  On the bright side, I can medicate myself.

I hope you feel better! A hot shower helps me, too.  Maybe try that on those sleepless nights?

Sorry I can't help more.

Love,

Julie

ughhh...I know the feeling.  I am just getting over a sinus infection myself.

To not be able to take anything is the worse though.   I remember having terrible sinus problems when I was pregnant with Emma.  I do remember my doctor letting me take something for it though I just don't remember what it was.  I know all doctors have varying opinions on it but it may not hurt to give your doctors office a call and just ask if there is anything you can do for it.....if you haven't already.

Hope you feel better soon.   Try some warm steam.  boil some water on the stove and then turn it off and lean over the pot with a towel over your head and suck in the steam.  Careful not to burn your face  though. :)  It works, really.

Take care!

Joette

Oh right!!!! I forgot about the steam over a bowl trick. I did that through a horrid sinus infection last winter and it's great....Yes....

I called Dr's office and the receptionist, a jovial and sassy gay fella, ran down their office's "OK" substances for colds: Sudafed, Tylenol, Robitussin.

I was shocked to see Sudafed and Robitussin on there...they are class C in terms of safety!! I asked him, "Are you SURE?" and he gave me some funny comment like, "Honey, as God is my witness." Funny, but I still don't see how those are safe??

Anyway. Steam and saline. Steam and saline.

Probably a bit too late but Sudafed and benadryl are ok to take while pregnant.  Good luck!
