Feb. Leap Year Luv Bugs '04

I sat down with him last night to do some homework, and his letter recognition and sight words are getting so much better, and so is his handwriting.  I couldn't believe what he's able to do now compared to last year or even the beginning of the year.

We also sat down and read some little beginner reading books from school that they send home, and he read one entire book on his own (granted we've read it a couple of times so he probably memorized it but that's still OK as he's recognizing some words now). 

His little face lit up when I got all excited that he can read and he's printing and recognizing letters.  So cute!

Yay, TWG, Matthew!! I love it when Katie recognizes one of her sight words, she's like "To!" "We!" "The!" & we have to make a big deal out of it.

See, he's coming along nicely! No need to fret!

Oh & Katie just recently started printing her S's & C's the correct way instead of backwards!

Oh I hate when Matthew prints letters backwards!!!  But I remember being his age and printing my s's backwards and try to remember that I eventually got it and he will too.  But there are days when it's tough for someone who's anal retentive like myself!
