January '05 Peanut Gallery

I was just wondering how everyone is liking preschool this year? Brayden is going to a new preschool which happens to be a co op. So far its now going very well, they have a new teacher this year and if you ask me...they need to keep looking and find a different one. Brayden is a hyper child. When I picked him up today she told me that Brayden had a rough day and he left the classroom a couple times so they are going to have to start closing the door because of this. Brayden told me that he left the classroom to go use the bathroom. Hes never had to ask to go to the bathroom before so this is something that he has to learn. This teacher has already labeled him a trouble maker and we are only into day 4 of preschool. I talked to the preschools president and shes not happy about the whole thing. She kept saying thats what hes there for is to learn how to go to school. So, hopefully our preschool year gets better soon. Hhhmm maybe I should have put this in the rant section.

So, how is preschool going for everyone else?

No big changes for us this year, since we're continuing with the same school she's been in since she was a baby. She loves going to school and is very excited about homework (which is too easy for her in my opinion). I'm trying to figure out how to redo my family room to include a desk for her so she can do her work next to me. Because of my bad back I can't sit on hard kitchen chairs for more then 10 minutes.

I hope Braydon doesn't get labeled a "troublemaker" because he left the room to go to the bathroom. Hopefully he's learned now that he has to ask and will be doing it in the future. I hope his tearcher is not too rigid.
