What candy do you hand out on Halloween?  Or do you hand out something else?  Do you get a lot of trick-or-treaters?

My brother handed out our candy last year, and guessed that we had between 150-200 kids come by.  That's a lot of kids, so I can't afford the really good candy.  But I don't want to be the house known for giving out crap.  I've been trying to find good middle ground - so far I have a bunch of bags of Nerd boxes to hand out.  I may get some Blow Pops or something too.

We have people in the neighborhood who give out full-size candy bars.  I don't know how they do it.

We got Nestle Crunch and Butterfinger Mini-bars. I've already opened and eaten 1/2 of the Nestle Crunches and I doubt they'll make it through next week. Hahahaha!

My parents get a ton of kids in their neighborhood in PA and they always buy the full size bars. My mom gets them at Costco, I think. They didn't used to do that before, though. I think it has to do with the fact they aren't buying/making costumes for us anymore and they've re-prioritized items in their Halloween budget.

Oooh Jamie - necklaces! We coveted those when we were little! That's great that you offer "healthy" and/or "for the younger kids" options, too - I was thinking of getting some Goldfish packs as well.

I also loved Reeses Peanut Butter cups and I remember sorting the candy in front of the TV (watching the Garfield Halloween Special/The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown) and counting up the Peanut Butter Cups to ration them to myself over the next few days/weeks. LOL.

We *NEVER* have trick or treaters here, but we always buy candy because you never know, you know? This year we have a new family living next door so I'm going to see if they'll come over to trick or treat!

Oh Ashley!  I LOVE me some Reese Cups!  I steal the kids' Reese Cups from their stash if I can get by with it.

We live in the country so we've never had a trick or treater :(

I always steal Hannahs reeses too. lol. and I loved when we went somewhere and tehy had something other than candy- like little rings or goldfish/a.crackers, but one place gave out toothbrushes-which I thought was humorous.  they were probably in dental care field :)

So yea, we just run around trick or treating for a while and have candy that will last us for months
