Can you believe it is September 1st?????

What's up for today ladies?

I can't believe it's September!  We are talking of taking an end-of-summer trip this weekend but haven't planned anything yet.  I would like to do something.....I need a little more summer and it would be our last weekend without activities that will keep us in town.

Work today, and I'm meeting with Robin's piano teacher this afternoon to learn about the materials and such.  I'm really looking forward to that.  I would love to take lessons again....though honestly I really want organ lessons.  I covet my church's pipe organ.  I would love to try it out. 

 

Today marks the beginning of the last week before school starts.

September always feels like New Years to me; I feel the need for resolutions and reorganization. We'll be working on getting our house and routines in order for a smooth start to the school year.

A biggie is getting going on piano practicing.

We also need to go to Walmart to buy Dini some sneakers for Circus School.

And then we have a playdate, riding bikes in the park. We have a perfect family for playdates-- Jesse gets to spend time with her best friend in the whole world, and Dini gets to be crazy with her older brother.

Yeah no I can't. September already?

Nothing today. Just catching up on laundry, dealing with Thomas who must be tired from the cold b/c he is on 100% whine mode, and figuring out dinner. The soup I made last night did not go over well. Dh liked it once he ate it but when he called on his way home and I was trying to get the kids to do hw and get ready for GS and BS and keep Thomas out of trouble, he asked what was for dinner and when I told him he said "oh". I bit my tongue. Esp since he did not know whether he would be home for dinner or not I made something that would keep in the crockpot on warm while I went out to the scout things.

I have to order the costumes today. I am still deciding whether to look for or make McGonagall's robe. I am not sure how much the fabric will cost and it might be cheaper to buy a generic robe.
