I know, this may have too much information in it, but I am guessing that most of us here have the same problem!
I am currently on medication for PPD after baby #2. I had it after my first, but I didn't do anything about it (I know, stupid!) The meds are working great (I am on 150mg of effexor) but it seems that my sex drive is either non-existent or it is over the top (which really only happens about once every two months!) I used to have a really high sex drive so this is quite the change for me. And when we do have sex I have a very hard time reaching orgasm. It seems like there is this hump there that I just cannot get over. I have worked on relaxing, and trying to not think about it too much )of course that makes it worse). I still enjoy it, don't get me wrong, but there is something about getting close....and not being able to get any further! Any one have any suggestions?!!!!
I hate having to see my husbands face when I tell him that it just isn't going to happen, and I explain to him that it really is just me, and the meds, but I think it is getting to him, and making him not want to have sex either. I am getting desperate!

I had issues with this as well. They dissipated as I reduced and eventually discontinued my medication. I'm not saying you should do that at all - But do talk with your doctor about the issue you're having with sexual arousal.

Here's an article from prevention.com that may help: http://www.prevention.com/cda/article/where-d-my-sex-drive-go/d7ef9c777f803110VgnVCM20000012281eac____/health/health.experts/mary.jane.minkin.md

Good luck to ya!

Warmest,
lauren
