Hello everyone!

I had my big ultrasound today.  They checked the babies fluid levels to make sure all was well.  I knew it would be okay since I havent leaked any fluid for about 5 days now.  They also checked babies kidneys and heart.  Everything looks great.  I am finally feeling "normal."  BUT here is the deal.  I thought that once everything was normal I could go home on strict bedrest.  Ummm... NO.  My doctor told me today that he is very happy that everything has turned out this way.  BUT I will be here until late Nov.  I am freaking out.  I just found out I was pregnant at 21 weeks.  Then I had these issues at 23 weeks and now I am stuck in the hospital for 2 months.  And on top of everything else my dumb work doesnt offer any disability or ANYTHING.  So now me and my BF are just banking on his income.  I am trying to relax and just be happy that things are turning out the way that they are.  BUT its just so hard for me to not have control over this.  Has anyone else been on bedrest for months?

I was on bedrest from 27 wks til I delivers at 35 wks. It wan't hospital bedrest I only had that for 4 days. I know is sucks and I am sorry you will have to be there that long but don't freak out yet. I was told I would be there until 36 wks or I delivered whichever came first but they sent me home at 35 wks. I have heard of them sending moms home after a few weeks of no problems so Don't get your hopes up but at the same time don't worry about being stuck there. Also remember that the hospital is the best place to be right now since if you go into labor they will have a better chance at stopping it if you are right there. Ask your dr if you can have special privledges like a ride in a wheel chair around the halls or "going" to lunch in the cafe downstairs with family or your bf. Sometimes they are willing to allow these things if all lokks good. It can't hurt to ask.
