When Work = School

I live in student housing now and honestly I love it. Everyone here (for the most part) is in the same boat.. struggling to pay bills.. struggling to balance family and school.. and struggling to survive in cramped quarters. I have never been inspected (although a few of my friends have been)..I really think the inspections start coming when there are complaints about a particular person (at least here anyway!)

I am curious... what do most of yall who are in student housing pay for rent? Over here, we pay $315 a month with electricity and cable included...for me it's perfect since most other apartments in the city are at least $450.

I lived in student housing for my BA and first MA. I enjoyed it, since there were a lot of other people with kids. The daycare was also right in my buiding, si i didn't have to freeze while lugging a baby to daycare every day in the winter.

The rent was reasonable but not much of a discount from the rest of the city (Toronto).

The university I am at right now only had regular residences and no family housng so no go this time!
