We have two cats. Our older cat knows just where to lie on me to make me feel better.  The vibrations from her purring and her body heat are better than a heating pad, and a good head butt or rub on my elbow or ankle just seems to make me happy.

Does anyone else have a bet that helps them relax or feel better?

I have a cat that does the same for me. She just seems to know when I need some comfort. Of course, she uses ME as well, LOL! She didn't used to sleep with me, but she has begun to do that. I work nights and sometimes take a nap mid-afternoon if I didn't sleep well the night before. That's when she comes and snuggles right in the small of my back. It helps me sleep better, I think. I can feel her purring vibrating in my back.

She is the best kitty. She's very playful, but also very affectionate. I have been grateful many, many times for her.

My dog is very friendly and affectionate. It is A Golden Retriever. They are known to be sociable. When the dog is in a loving mood, he licks your whole face. Try to remain sad when a dog is licking you all over or nudging you with a toy so that you throw it for him to catch.

My DH grew up with Goldens.  I grew up with German Shepards (BIG ones).  I hope someday to have a dog for the boys.  I would like a Golden or a German Shepard, and I think DH would love either, although he's partial to the Golden.  Finn goes back and forth, and Sorley just wants one he can wrestle with.

We wrestle with our Golden. He mouths us but no matter how rough we get with him, he never bites. Heidi
