As I sit here snuffling from a summer cold, I'm thinking we could post some summer cold remedies.

I down the echinacea tea, eat candied ginger to get the nose running, and drink ALOT of water...well, I do that anyways.

.  make sure the A/C (if you have one) is not tooooooo cold.

.  keep out of drafts

.  my mom used to "bake the cold out of me" , give me a nice book and sit me in the sun for awhile each day..not to the point of sweating but to warm me up

.  just like in winter, keep washing your hands.

.  drink vit c ,  eat all the nice summer fruits, eat healthy

AC actually makes me stuffier, so I avoid it when I can.  I can't do it now bc of the beta blockers, but I used to sweat out the summer colds.  Then I'd drink a tea of echinacea, lemon, and ginger.  That always helped.  I had a housemate in college who would treat every illness with the "sweat it out" mentality, he was very healthy and a great athlete.  A little hard on his housemates though -- LOL! -- he'd ride is stationary bike for HOURS, grunt, groan, sweat and stink up the whole house! LOL!  Luckily, we were all college athletes, so we could handle it ok.
