Well, it didn't matter how clean I kept my house, how many cans of Lysol I used, how much hand sanitizer we used....we have H1N1. Zane is the only in the house so far. And hopefully it stays that way. For now he is okay. We are keeping a close eye on him that he doesn't start to develop pneumonia. He has a really high fever and is not eating or drinking well. Today he seems a wee bit better. I was hoping he would be fever free today so I could go back to work. But he isn't. And it's probably better I stay home with him anyway because he will only nurse and he is hardly doing that. He refuses any bottles or cups. In fact I thought he had an ear infection and that's why he wasn't drinking well...but those ears are clear.

After we get through this I want a bumper sticker that says I survived the Swine of 09! Just kidding. So forgive me again for not being on the boards as much....

Any body else have swine at their house?

My 12 yr old, Kaitlyn, had the flu pretty badly starting last Wednesday. I took her in yesterday and he said it looks like H1N1, but it also looks like another flu that is going around. He said it didn't matter which one because he'd treat it the same. Her breathing is ok, but coughing, fever, soar throat (maybe from the coughing?). Was throwing up at first, but thankfully not now.

She is doing a little better each day. I hope Zane is ok too. So sad when these wee little ones get sick. No fun when the big tall ones get sick either though.

I thinking we have it here too. Stephanie got a fever all of a sudden last Wednesday and she had body aches, i think, hasn't eaten much of anything, but will drink her juice so I don't have to worry about dehydration. She also has a runny nose, a little cough, and probably a sore throat. I was all set to take her to the doctor on friday but her fever broke and she was acting better so I cancelled. She had a little fever Saturday morning but was great most of Saturday. But then again her fever came back higher on Sunday. Emily got the fever on Saturday and she has more of a cough, sore throat, and runny nose. She says her eyes hurt so I am thinking headache. Poor kids. So we are headed to the doctor tomorrow. i am pretty sure it's swine flu but whatever it is I am just hoping I don't get it.

Hope things are better on your end.
