I have been giving my daughter solids since she was three months through a bottle. Only a little in the bottle not a lot. How or when should I introduce solids? Since we give her rice cereal in her bottle do I give it to her in a bowl and quit putting it in the bottle? If so, how much? I am a first time mom and I am lost. Please tell me what I need to do.

Hi! This is what we did.

Alyssa started on rice cereal at 4 months-

1  tbsp cereal 1 tbsp milk (formula or Bmilk)

I nursed her first then offered her the cereal (Rice (1st), barley(2nd about 2wks after rice), oatmeal (that was around 5 months)
Then I nurs ed her after

at5  months she started on Veggies then at 6 months she started on fruit. 7 months I did meat.

Most Dr's say never to put cereal in the bottle, but when you do chose to start solids, you should just do it by the spoon and discontinue giving any in the bottle.
