What are sign should be watching for when introducing my 15week old son to solids? I know your supposse to wait between 3-5 days before trying new foods to check for food allergies. But are some of the sign i should be watching for.

Reason I ask is my son been on cereal(rice) since 23 of Dec and this morning after 1/2hr after his cereal this morning he had slight direaha(mispelled) and I was curious if that a sign or not. He been a little congested last couple days but I think he might be coming down with cold again. Should I stop the rice cereal and talk to his doc or should I wait until his 4mos check up 11th not give him anymore rice cereal

Here's a great link I found helpful for starting solids. http://www.askdrsears.com/html/3/T032000.asp

and on food allergies specifically:

If you are concerned about food allergies, or they run in your family, it is often recommended to wait longer to intro solids. This will give baby's system time to mature and better deal with the new things.
