The baby on my shoulder

Connor and I ran out to the grocery store one evening last week. After I put the groceries in the car, I started loading him in and he started talking about the baby in the seat next to him. He grabbed like he sometimes grabs our arms and snuggled an imaginary baby or arm and said, "baby's cold." He continued to talk about this baby then said, "mama, baby's on your shoulder." He described the baby for me and everything. I tried to let him talk about this baby as much as possible and held it together pretty well. When we got home, I went to get Connor out of his seat and he said, "uh-oh mama, baby fall down...(pause)...baby, you ok?" And then he said that the baby was on my shoulder again.

The first time he did something like this, he told me that baby brother was in the seat next to him. That's been a couple of months ago now.

It just kind of trips me out. Just thought I'd share here.

Wow, that's really amazing. I truly believe that children can see angels and our loved ones when we can't. I also believe they can know things that we don't. My youngest knew that Rachel was a girl long before the u/s told us so. I won't doubt him next time. I think you can rest assured your angel is watching over you and his brother.

That is completely amazing. I strongly believe children do see things we don't. How wonderful of Connor to be able to tell you. Cherish that, write it down.

I have 2 girls, but it's my youngest (she is 3) who has on 2 occasions lead me to believe she sees Nathan. Both times I was blown away and both time were fleeting. The one time was days after he died and she fell asleep on my bed. Very uncharacteristic of her. It was mid day. She woke up and said she saw Nathan. When i questioned her, she dismissed it.

The other time was in the summer, camping. It was pouring rain and her and I were in the car. She looked at me and said--this is where Nathan sits--and pointed between her and her sisters carseat. the little space between them. Again, when I questioned her, she looked at me like I was silly.

Very very cool. I am so thankful for those moments.

Wow, all of your stories gave me goosebumps.  That is amazing that your kids can see their siblings like that.  Addison has never said anything like that but it helps knowing our babies are with us all the time.  Thanks for sharing those amazing stories.

Wow, it is amazing how innocent our children are. I also have a similar story. The first time we took our 3 year old to the cemetery where Megan is burred she was playing a few feet away by a tree. She then came running back to us saying that the "little girl" touched her. She didn't explain anything more that that...just a little girl. It made me cry.

Faith is no irresponsible shot in the dark. It is a responsible trust in God, who knows the desires of your hearts, the dreams you are given, and the goals you have set. He will guide your paths right. - Robert Schuller
