Can anyone recommend a book or refer me to a reputable website for how to explain menstruation to my daughter? I am embarrased to say that I really don't know how to explain it to her nor do I know all the correct terminology. I don't want her to be grossed out but I need to know how to explain it on her level. She is going to be ten years old in August and has just recently had to start wearing a training bra with most of her shirts. I want her to be prepared but I don't want to freak her out. I started when I was 12 years old and was not prepared at all for it. I don't want to make that mistake with my daughter.
