Pls help me prepare to breastfeed twins

I had fraternal girl twins at 36 weeks 10 years ago. I did not have a C-section, but I did nurse them at the same time for 6 months. Tips that helped me:
1. Definately bring your nursing pillow to the hospital with you. From the beginning nurse the babies at the same time. This will hopefully keep them on the same feeding and sleeping schedule. I nursed them in the "football" hold.
2. At birth, my girls' blood sugar was low so the nurses supplemented their feeding with bottles a few times. Don't freak out if that happens. They were fine and did not get nipple confusion.
3. I did not "assign" a breast to each baby. I traded sides each time the twins nursed. I did this for two reasons. One, the babies get eye stimulation from the eye looking up when they nurse and I wanted them to get it from both eyes. Also, I did not want to have a lopsided chest as one baby ate a little more than the other!
Hope this helps. Have fun. Do what works best for you and your family. Don't feel pressure to nurse if it isn't working.
