Since most have you have gone through this, I was hoping you might be able to help me. I am 10 weeks pg & nursing my 13-month old. Over the past couple of weeks my milk supply has really dwindled (even though my dd is still trying diligently). Will my milk supply improve, or is this the way it will be? Any suggestions for improving supply?

Thanks, Karen

Welcome and congratulations on your pregnancy. According to Hilary Flowers' book, Adventures in Tandem Nursing, the milk supply picks up in the third trimester as your body prepares for the new baby. Good luck!

Your milk supply will probably stay low and possibly disapear. You can do a few things to help, eat oatmeal (real stuff not instant), keep up the cals/nutrition/water and nurse frequently. If you or baby are not ready to wean, many moms nurse for comfort through a pregnancy even if they do loose their milk supply,
