Hi, I'm gonna be 17 in less than 2 weeks, and I'm about 10 weeks pregnant according to my missed periods, and "due date calculators" on the internet. I haven't gone to the doctor because I already know my mom will kick me out when she finds out. I'm scared to death, because I have no insurance and I know for a fact my mom won't help. I had a "scare" last year and she almost kicked me out and freaked out on my boyfriend, but his mom was ok with the whole thing and ready to help us. My boyfriend's 18 and we already planned to move out in the next month. I just have no idea what to do now. I know I need to go to the doctors, but I don't know how to with no insurance and without my mom finding out. I'm scared, and I need help. On the bright side, I've already graduated high school, and my boyfriend of 2yrs is completely supportive. We hadn't planned this, but we're both willing to do whatever it takes to make this work out for us. We both just want what's best for our baby. But I really just need someone to talk to, someone who's been through it and knows. I haven't told anyone yet except my boyfriend. We don't want anyone to know for a little while longer.

First off congrats! Second, GO TO A DOCTOR! A walk in clinic is usually about $20 an appointment and they can get you started. They are not allowed to tell your mom unless your life is in danger, and it's pregnancy not cancer. You need to at the very least get on some prenatals, which you can get in any grocery store without a prescription. If you're moving out in a month anyway then it's not going to hurt to not tell your mom until you are out, but it could hurt your baby to not be getting the proper prenatal care. Also I would apply for government insurance asap, as it is very expensive to have a baby and you do qualify for some government aid while pregnant. The sooner you get the paperwork done the sooner you can start going regularly to a doctor. Are you working? If so most jobs have to offer a basic form of health insurance so maybe see when or if you could receive health insurance. Goodluck! :)

No, I am not working. My boyfriend works and supports us. He is very lucky to have a very good paying job. And, I have been taking prenatals as soon as I found out. That's the first thing I did was go to the store, I've been taking them everyday and eating healthier, staying away from what I need to and whatnot. Thanks for the advice.

Hi & welcome! I'm Zenycha[18] mommy to Jayden[2] and bf is Naldo[21].

Congrats on your pregnancy!!! I agree with Amy you should definately go to the Doctor's. You're mom is going to find out sooner or later. But I know how you feel. I told my mom as soon as I found out I was pregnant and she kicked me out so I had to move in with my baby's dad and his mom. It was really hard but he supported me through everything. We're not together anymore but he's still in his son's life. Everything will be ok. Its going to be hard at first but eventually things will get better. I suggest you sit down and talk to your mom, if u want have somebody there with you for support. But just talk to her and tell her. Good luck.

*hugs.
