I have been keeping my medicines in my upper cabinet in my kitchen. Yesterday while I was in my laundry room, my almost 3 yo daughter pushed a chair & climbed up & got my Hyland's Homeopathic Teething Tablets out of the cabinet (her sister is teething)! She swallowed about 200 of them. I called Poison Control & they said she would be fine. Which she was. Well it made me think. Where can I put my medicines? I thought I had them out of reach but evidently not!
Wow - that's scary! (And to think that the powers that be are thinking of doing away with our local poison control - yikes!) Anyway, is there a way you can put them in a locked cabinet? My DD is only 10 months, but she alredy gets into everything she can reach, so I've been thinking that we will need to lock up anything dangerous. We have a cabinet over the toilet (which is in its own little "room") that we can lock and it will be hard for her to reach.
OMG!! How scary. I keep all my medicines up in a high cabinet. I never thought that the little toots would climb up and get them anyway. I guess off to Walmart to get more latches for the high cabinets too! (I keep all my cleaning supplies in a high cabinet too.)
