I'm new to this, and I feel so lost...DH and I have been off any BC for the last 4 years, actively TTC for almost 3 years of that...it is all so frustrating...we were doing BBT, but my new OBGYN/fertility doc, advised against it...(we had been tracking for over a year with OPK and BBT with no results..) I reluctantly gave up BBT and I must say its atleast nice to wake up in a normal way everyday...we are doing the OPK, but I swear, something about that time of the month...DH gets the flu, gets called away for work, blah blah...something always comes up and we end up only getting in a few good days when we should really be trying...sometimes it just seems like everyone else in the world is getting pregnant but us...friends and family members are on 2nd and 3rds...and we cant even get one...any ideas, thoughts, anything...please...

Just stay strong and positive! That's the best advice I can give. I could say "it will happen when it's supposed to happen" but I myself hate hearing that! Dh and I have been actively trying for 5.5 years, with two Laparoscopys, (I have endometriosis and it is the cause to our infertility) we've tried 7 cycles of clomid and IUIs, off and on clomid for 2.5 years, and two different OBs and one specialist, who by the way said it was bad timing that we couldn't get it! :/ frustrating! I understand!!!

I have 11 nieces and nephews and they are the world to DH and I. We've come to grasp that if we don't get kids they are a perfect alternative :) I do understand it is very hard to see everyone and anyone get pregnant around you! What mostly bothered me was friends who complained about not getting prego with number two or three right away. Im thinking, gosh be grateful for the ones you got! And don't complain to me!! Lol, but then I realized, it doesn't help me to be negative, it just makes me more depressed and hateful towards people and
most of them I truley do love and care about.

I completely understand - it feels like I am the only person I know that doesn't have a child. I've been trying for 6 months and my friend called the other day to let me know she's pregnant - she went off the pill 6 weeks ago and is 4 weeks along!!!! I am always so happy for everyone but I feel the jealousy creeping in more and more. Try to stay positive though, and positive things will happen : )

Thank you so much for your encouragement, its really appreciated.  My SIL told me just the other day that she is planning to go off the pill next month and start trying for their next one...I'm excited for her and hope it all goes well, DH and I will just keep trying and if she does have her next one before we even get our first, then I'll have another neice or nephew to love until someday its our turn.  Good luck to you...

I am new to this as well. I have been off the pill for 2.5 years but actively TTC#1 for about one 1.5 years. I think that I have heard all of the sayings in the book "don't think about it", "don't stress out", "it'll happen when it's supposed to", etc. I definitely am on the same page about the correct timing seems ruined from hubby being sick or work overloud. It is very frustrating but you have to stay as positive as you can. Negative pregnancy tests are never an easy thing to see, especially when you think this month is the one! Best of luck to you :)
