I have been lurking and have even posted but not sure if I actually introduced myself. My name is Christina and I have been trying to conceive since June. I had a miscarriage in June and since then have not been able to conceive. I have hypothyroidism but it is under control now. Since the miscarriage I have either ovulated early, late or not at all. Especially when I was used to ovulating on the 14th day of every  month and getting my period on the 28th day of every month. I know there is a normal range but what my body is doind now is not normal for me.

This month I did not ovulate at all so I know something is up. I know this could be attributed to stress but really just want my body back to normal. I thought maybe a board like this would help:)

Welcome to the board! If you don't mind my asking, what were your symptoms for hypothyroidism? I temp chart, and when I compare my charts to other women's, I notice that my baseline temp is way low. When I googled low basal body temps, I got a lot of articles relating to hypothyroidism. Just wondering what triggered you to get checked out?

Anyway, I hope that you will find this board as helpful as I have. This is truly a great group of women and a wonderful support system during this crazy process!

Oct. 2009 siggy for ivillage Thank you Nicole for my beautiful siggy!

I was actually having irregular periods which is common with hypothyroidism. My cycles were about 35-40 days long.  I was put on levothyroxine and my thyroid levels are now normal. I was also very tired and had a hard time losing weight.

Being cold or having low BBT is very common for people with hypothyroidism however it was not a problem that I have. I actually am having the opposite possibly because of stress with my job...not sure how to reverse that one. I think my job is bad for my health:)

I am going to the dr in two weeks to see if they can help with ovulation induction through medication.
