Hi everyone, I've been lurking for a few months now but not really participating or anything since at 9 mo pp there was still no AF. Well I think today was the day:) We finally have some spotting so it looks as if she will arrive soon and that we can look forward to having some more baby making activities. Amazing that I can be so excited to get exactly what I want to disappear again. Kind of ironic huh? Well good luck to all you ladies here, I hope that you all get your BFPs right when you want them.
Also just out of curiosity does anyone know how many extra calories a day bfing moms of 9 month olds should be eating? so far I have lost all my previous baby weight but I am worried it will come back really quickly now that he is on solids and such. I know it sounds really shallow, but I am loving being able to eat lots of yummy food with almost no guilt. thanks so much!

Hi Joni,

Welcome!

I don't know about the calories, but I think it would depend a LOT on the baby. I'm still able to eat as much as I want (dd is 10 1/2 months) and I haven't gained any weight.

Good luck!

glad you are here to join us! it is an exciting time when you find your body is ready to get back into trying!

not sure about exact calories but I found that my DS cut back very slowly as he ate more solids (he's now 22 mo) and so I think gradually I was just less hungry...I didnt gain anything back. I'm right where I was before. I agree though, it was awesome to eat whatever I wanted and still lose that pregnancy weight - a great perk of nursing!!

Hello and welcome to the club! I myself tend to carry an extra 10lbs or so until nursing is done so I have no words of wisdom for you but to encourage you to enjoy those extra calories while you can :)

I hope your BFP comes fast and easy :)
